Come and join me and lets experience life together. My Hatha flow classes focus on flowing creative sequences of gentle yet dynamic yoga. Learn to synchronize your breath (pranayama) with flowing postures (asanas). Learn to work from your 'core' centre to gain maximum benefits having great detoxing and cleansing benefits to burn calories, build strength, flexibility, focus, self-awareness & confidence.

We will start our AM practice with a gentle warm up sequence for the whole body. Flow through Sun Salutations, standing & seated sequences, clearing the mind of unproductice thoughts and realeasing any knots, blockages or stagnation in the body allowing the energy to flow freely throughout the whole body, finishing with a totally relaxing guided meditation. Our PM classes have a more RELAXed feel working on specific postures and Yin Yoga to remove tension in the body and mind that settles your attention softly on the breath. Each inhale creating space in the body and mind. Each exhale releases and letting go. We end our evening practice with either guided meditation or Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) for deep relaxation, rejuvenation & reconnection of your mind-body and spirit. After just one week you will have all the tools and a great foundation to start your own home practice with confidence when you return home.

My search began 12 years ago when I fell pregnant with my first child. I joined a pregnancy yoga class and I have been hooked ever since.

After 18 years of being a hairdresser and so many years of back and shoulder pain. I sold my Hairdressing and beauty business in the UK to fulfill my dream of opening a Yoga & Holistic Holiday centre in Turkey. I can now share my passion and knowledge with the students that holiday at our yoga centre and home here in beautiful Side.
Having worked and been inspired by many teachers & yoga disiplines to include Sadie Nardini, Daniel and Olivia Petkoff, Alice Milner & Jo Prakash. I am enjoying my yogic journey, and really look forward to sharing it with you here in Turkey.

"I appreciate the way Jo approaches her practice according to the individual. We were all at different levels and of course, brought individual characteristics and approaches, which Jo observed and nourished. This comes from Jo’s intuition and observations, which isn’t something you can be taught. It had the effect of experiencing a bespoke tuition albeit within a close knit group who learned from and encouraged each other. Each practice was unique and captured accurately the vibe of the group on that day". Gill, London

"It was a great pleasure to practise/study with you Jo. As I already said, a student is just as good as her teacher"! ;-) Silvia - Italy

I whole heartedly recommend Jo as a Yoga teacher weather you meet her for one hour, one week or hopefully a lifetime of lessons. Hayley - London/Turkey

"Jo's compassion and sense of humor create a relaxed and enjoyable environment in which to learn. After arriving for my first yoga holiday and not really having a clue what a sun salutation was Jo really helped me grow in my practice and gave me a great understanding of the anatomy of my body - both physically and mentally. Each of Jo's classes challange you to your own level and at the end of each one I felt like I had explored physical and mental territory. Jo's enthusiasm and warmth motivate me giving me the tools to integrate yoga into my often-hectic schedule when I return home from this wonderful Oasis."

2 Yoga alliance 200 hours in Chakra Yoga - 375 hours and Vinyasa Flow - 280 hours
Vedic Chant Teacher - KYM
Reiki levels 1 and 2

I have been practising yoga for over 20 years. In 2007 I undertook a 3 month, full time, chakra yoga teacher training. I taught a small yoga class in my home town of Aberdeen in 2008. After leaving my "day job" in 2009 I travelled in India and completed further teacher training in vinyasa flow yoga. Throughout the years I've practised many different styles of yoga including Sivananda, Ashtanga, Kundalini with many teachers. I'm now interested in tailoring yoga practices to the individual, based on their Ayurvedic dosha and particular health issues. In Indonesia I discovered sound massage using Tibetan singing bowls and completed up to level 3 training with the wonderful Patrizius. Continuing my interest in sound healing, I trained as a vedic chant teacher with the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai during 2010 and 2011. In 2012 I am returning to chakra yoga training with an emphasis on health and healing.

Alice Milner

 Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa, Power Yoga,

Alice Milner is an easy going individual with a zest for life. She’s been active all her life, with swimming & dancing featuring heavily in her early years, and ashtanga yoga & pole dancing as her current obsessions. At the age of 22, she made a life changing decision to give up a university degree in Engineering Product Design & to pursue her passion in all things active. This was a wise choice as she is still working in the fitness industry some 16 years later.

Alice discovered Ashtanga Yoga after a move from London to Bath left her teacher-less. This style of yoga (a great tool for those working without a teacher) allowed Alice to develop as a yogi by practicing alone at home and by attending various workshops and teacher trainings with many different great teachers. It was on her first trip to India that she met Michael Gannon, who is still one of her greatest influences today.

"Alice has studied many hours under many great teachers including David Williams, David Swenson, Michael Gannon, Lino Miele, Matthew Sweeney & attends classes locally with Bev & Simon. She also had the chance to practice under the guru of astanga yogi Sri Krisna Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Rangaswamy and Ashtanga Teacher Training in Goa with Micheal Gannon."

Alice runs regular day retreats at The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath & weekend retreats in North Somerset & Devon.http://www.alicemilner.com

Martha Heiland-Allen

Vinyasa Flow

Martha's Vinyasa Flow yoga classes harness the ancient healing and transformative power of yoga for the rhythm of modern life. Classes focus on connecting breath with movement in the art of vinyasa, creating a moving meditation which cultivates self-awareness, unity and realising our unlimited potential. Martha trained with, and now assists, leading international teacher Claire Missingham and has undertaken intensive study at the Krishnamachrya Yoga Mandiram in India where Vinyasa Flow originated. Martha carefully guides through dynamic, invigorating and playful sequences which open, strengthen and liberate the body with detailed attention to precise physical and esoteric alignment. She offers modifications to suit all levels and hands-on assists to create space, harmony and balance.

“Martha is a wonderful yoga teacher – calm, encouraging and inspiring. Her classes are chilled yet challenging, and she takes great care to put together interesting sessions that are suitable for everyone and that cover a number of subjects in an accessible way. I always go away from her classes having learnt something new – be it poses, breathing techniques or yoga theory. Highly recommended!” Sadler’s Wells

Blanche Mulholland

Vinyasa Flow & Zen Shiatsu Therapist

Honouring the change of seasons as a teaching in impermanence.
Join Blanche in the first week of July as we focus on the Yang energy of Summer, using the warmth of the sun to help us connect to our inner fire! The Fire Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine represents joy, the heart and the emotions, which we can begin to connect with once we have developed a stable foundation and core strength, opening ourselves to our fullest potential through yoga.

Blanche’s style of yoga teaching from the heart blends integrity, skill and understanding. The morning Vinyasa practice will combine a deep slow yoga flow with some dynamic and challenging sequences, and the afternoon sessions will include Yin restorative yoga to balance the practice, weaving in poetry and yoga philosophy to integrate the realisations we have during asana into our lives off the mat. Blanche aims to empower her students to develop or deepen their own self-practice during this heart-warming week of yoga and sunshine.

The yoga we practice will have a strong focus on awakening our senses in the natural environment, and exploring our wild natures, inner and outer! Blanche works with a somatic approach to encourage an in-depth and organic exploration into our embodied experience with an emphasis on deepening self enquiry. We will synchronise breath and movement (vinyasa) in a yoga practice that guides us from external alignment to the awareness of internal space and greater freedom.

Blanche has always had a passion for yoga and bodywork, since her first yoga class 10 years ago. Her solid and nourishing self practice keeps her teaching style fresh and rooted in her experience. She started with Iyengar yoga then went on to study Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin Yoga. She travelled to India to deepen her practice and started meditating (Vipassana, Buddhist Insight Meditation).

Blanche has recently completed a Yoga Teacher Training with Still Flowing Yoga in Ibiza, and trained in Zen Shiatsu undertaking a 3 year course at the Shiatsu School Edinburgh after becoming interested in Oriental medicine.

Blanche has a keen interest in the therapeutic benefits of yoga, and will be available for Shiatsu and 1.2.1 yoga therapy sessions during the retreat to complement your practice. Shiatsu is rooted in Oriental Medicine and draws from a deep knowledge of the pathways of the energy body (meridians), releasing any stagnant or blocked energy in these channels to bring about a state of balance, deep calm and healing.

Nicky Osborn

Hatha Yoga, Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, Pregnacy Yoga

A week is a long time in yoga! I don’t mean it will feel like a long time; the sessions will fly by. What I mean is a week is a big enough chunk of time in which you can significantly move on in their practice. You can build the muscle memory to carry you deeper into postures that would usually be “slow burn” to achieve. With daily routine left behind, in relaxed warm surroundings it is the perfect environment to feel your way into asanas and then challenge yourself further. You will leave a session loose, relaxed, and calm yet tingling as you tap into the energy flow around your body. During the week we can tackle postures that are problematic for the individual and I can help you tailor a daily workout practice for you to continue to develop once back at home.

Primarily I teach Hatha Yoga, with some vinyasa flow moves. I like to develop good alignment in my students; however, I encourage them not to get too hung up the perfect posture but rather to enjoy how an asana feels. I am especially interested in energy flow. Just as each asana has a final form, the energy circulation of each pose also has a final form and I seek to enlighten students’ observation of energy channels and deepen their ability to tap into them. I practise meditation and offer students methods to help access this life enhancing tool. Additionally, I am a certified Pregnancy Yoga teacher. I am member of Yoga Alliance. I am also a qualified First Aider.

I found yoga almost eight years ago. I cannot say what drew me to it, but it came as a total revelation. I found it an amazing release through a particularly stressful time in my life. Each class became a wonderful liberation, both mentally and physically. It took a little longer to curb my competitive nature and recognise the need to surrender to some postures. However, I use this knowledge to identify with students and help them understand that yoga is sometimes slow burn!

As my journey went I on I realised that I wanted to spread my love of yoga and I took a teacher training course in the steamy conditions of Morocco; hence I retain a love of Hot Yoga. However, my interests in yoga are broad. I believe yoga can be enjoyed by young, old, the fit, the physically disabled; in fact everyone can find some yoga to enhance their lives. I believe that I am able to tailor my teaching to get the best out of every individual.

As a teacher I love planning my classes as if I were the student, knowing I want to feel loose, relaxed and enlivened at the end of a session.
